Ricardo "Kaká" Monteiro

Ricardo "Kaká" Monteiro

Lead Pastor & Church Planter

I'm Kaká, but my real name is Ricardo Monteiro, lead pastor of Calvary Curitiba, sent by Calvary CNorte. My wife Lillian and I are parents of three children, ages 16, 12, and 7. I graduated from Calvary Chapel School of Ministry and have served in missions in 19 countries, including a decade working to combat human trafficking in Asia, Europe, and South America — experiences that profoundly shaped my heart for God's Kingdom and the most vulnerable. I completed the "Urban Church Planting Incubator" course through City to City Brasil in 2025 and also completed the "Online Church Planting Training" from CTPI in 2025. We are planting a new church in the heart of Curitiba, a city of nearly two million inhabitants surrounded by about three million people in the metropolitan region, with great spiritual and relational needs. Living in the heart of the city, we clearly feel God's call to establish a healthy, gospel-centered church that develops leaders and serves the city. We also understand we are not alone in this mission — we serve in partnership with other churches and ministries, forming a true task force for the city, together seeking the good of Curitiba and the advancement of the gospel.
